Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rashard Evens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hotaru Kurosaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hotaru Kurosaki has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rashard Evens's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rashard Evens! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hotaru Kurosaki! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice uppercut lands for Evens. That snapped Kurosaki's head back.
A left lands for Kurosaki. Evens darts in trying to clinch and Kurosaki counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Evens is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. A battle for position here, against the cage. Evens successfully pulls guard.
Kurosaki tries to stand but Evens is controlling from the bottom. Kurosaki stands up from Evens's guard - Kurosaki perhaps looking for a knockout. Evens throws a head kick that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Evens tries a low kick but Kurosaki avoids it. Evens fails in his attempt to clinch. Kurosaki throws a push kick but Evens slaps the foot to one side. Nice takedown defense from Evens. No joy for Kurosaki on that attempt. Kurosaki forces Evens back against the cage and clinches. Evens could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. The referee calls for Kurosaki to work.

Kurosaki is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Evens gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Evens misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Evens has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kurosaki is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Evens breaks the clinch.

Kurosaki will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Evens pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kurosaki is keeping the position for now. Kurosaki wants to get back to his feet but Evens is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Kurosaki being controlled here, momentarily. The ref stands the fighters back up because Rashard Evens just wasn't active enough. Evens swinging wildly here.
Evens pushes Kurosaki up against the cage in a clinch. Kurosaki is trying to drag Evens to the mat but Evens just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Rashard Evens has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hotaru Kurosaki. Evens is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Kurosaki escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Horrible takedown by Evens or perhaps it was just good defense by Kurosaki which made him look bad. Kurosaki shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Evens pinned against the cage. Evens gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Evens fails with the takedown and Kurosaki counters with an inside leg kick. Evens avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Evens with a lazy takedown attempt so Kurosaki counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Evens is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Kurosaki wants to get up but he can't break Evens's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Kurosaki postures up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Evens is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kurosaki is controlling him. Kurosaki stands up and waves to Evens to follow him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hotaru Kurosaki dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Evens circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kurosaki takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Kurosaki tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Evens manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Evens looks for a takedown but Kurosaki sprawls well. Evens doesn't manage to clinch there - Kurosaki circles away.

Evens tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kurosaki paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kurosaki tries to keep at a distance but Evens has taken the fight into the clinch. Kurosaki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from Kurosaki as Evens shoots in. Kurosaki digs a good hook to Evens's body.
A slapping body kick lands there for Kurosaki. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Evens shoots in for a double leg but Kurosaki sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rashard Evens. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kurosaki looks for a takedown but Evens sprawls well. Kurosaki fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Evens, pushing him back against the cage. Kurosaki stalling in the clinch.

Kurosaki shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Evens counters with a nice body shot. Evens misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. No luck with that takedown attempt from Kurosaki. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Evens throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kurosaki closes this distance looking for a takedown but Evens circles away. Evens throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Evens scores with a three punch combo!
Evens fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kurosaki avoids it really well and circles away. A left lands for Evens. Kurosaki displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Evens. Kurosaki tries to clinch there but Evens circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice defenses there by Evens. Evens throws a wild body kick that Kurosaki sees coming a mile off. Kurosaki misses with a takedown attempt - Evens sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Evens shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That was a close second round but I would say that Rashard Evens will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Kurosaki takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kurosaki fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Rashard Evens has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hotaru Kurosaki. Kurosaki misses the body punch and Evens counters with a left to the body. Evens fails with the takedown.

Kurosaki throws a sloppy head kick and Evens moves out of range easily. Evens swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kurosaki swats away the attempt to clinch by Evens. Kurosaki throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Evens was covering up waiting for the punch and Kurosaki finishes the takedown easily into guard. Kurosaki would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Evens wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Evens is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kurosaki wanted to stand there but Evens had control of the position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Evens is pulling down on Kurosaki's head. It's preventing any offense from Kurosaki, at least for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We're going to have a standup here because Rashard Evens wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Evens tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kurosaki swivels and escapes.

Kurosaki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Evens tries to avoid it but Kurosaki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Evens to the ground. Evens escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Evens fails with a takedown attempt. Kurosaki is trying hard to land a takedown here. Evens sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Evens moves into the clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kurosaki prevents a takedown attempt there.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Hotaru Kurosaki. I think Kurosaki has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
