Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Namba Babakla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Rogero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diego Rogero will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Diego Rogero!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogero cracks a nice hook into Babakla's ribs.
Babakla changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rogero tries to avoid it but Babakla manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rogero to the ground. Rogero escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Babakla avoids the head kick by Rogero.
Rogero tries a head kick but it misses.
Rogero cracks Babakla with an open hand slap.
Babakla's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Rogero connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Babakla scrambles back to his feet.
Rogero displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Babakla.
Babakla avoids a punch combination nicely.
Babakla takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Babakla avoids the head kick by Rogero.
Babakla throws a series of punches but Rogero avoids them all with ease.
Rogero misses with a few strikes there.
Babakla fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Namba Babakla. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rogero throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Babakla blocks a head kick by Rogero.
Rogero scores with a hook to the body. Babakla takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Rogero throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Babakla.

Diego Rogero is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Rogero fails to land with a series of punches.
Rogero slaps away a takedown attempt from Babakla, before circling back to the center of the mat.

A looping hook to the body misses from Rogero. Babakla does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rogero fails to land with a series of punches.
Rogero looks to land a body kick but Babakla moved away.

Babakla fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rogero to the ground. Babakla is now in Rogero's guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Babakla in particular looking to stall.

Rogero really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Babakla. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Babakla moves into full mount! Rogero won't be happy about that!

Babakla takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Babakla unloads with some shots from mount but Rogero bucks and avoids them well.

Rogero has left one of his arms exposed and Babakla doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Rogero screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
