And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Godley!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Richard Clark and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Some wild striking there from Castillo.
Castillo throws a left and a right that both miss
and Godley counters with a nice body shot.
Castillo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Castillo misses with a double jab.
Castillo misses with an uppercut. Godley saw that one coming.
Castillo throws out a powerful jab.
Godley ducks under a wild hook from Castillo.
Castillo tries to bum rush Godley with a series of wild strikes but Godley uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Castillo's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Castillo duly obliges.

Castillo throws a series of punches but Godley avoids them all with ease.

and Godley counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Godley is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Castillo defends it well.

Godley is working for a submission of some sort.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Godley drops an elbow to the side of Castillo's head.

Castillo is trying to stand.

Godley seems to be looking for submissions.

Godley is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Castillo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Godley.

Godley pushes down on Castillo's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Godley takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Castillo throws a right hand that Godley ducks under and follows up with a left that Godley also avoids with ease.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

so Godley counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Godley in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Castillo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Godley slips nicely into half guard.
Chris Godley has got the better of the ground game so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Godley tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Godley is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Chris Godley will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
