The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sparrrrrow lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Landry has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Landry and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Landry displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
It looks like Jack Sparrrrrow has been cut. Sparrrrrow slips a straight right by Landry. Landry looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A looping hook to the body misses from Landry. Sparrrrrow does a little dance to reset his feet. Sparrrrrow throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Landry throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sparrrrrow tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Landry checks a leg kick. Sparrrrrow shoots for a double leg takedown but Landry sprawls well. He's pushed Sparrrrrow's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Landry misses with a double jab.
Landry connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sparrrrrow momentarily.
Sparrrrrow slips a jab from Landry. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Landry checks a leg kick. An inside leg kick from Sparrrrrow misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sparrrrrow tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Landry is able to avoid easily. Landry looks to throw the jab but Sparrrrrow is out of range. Landry listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Sparrrrrow feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Sparrrrrow postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Sparrrrrow passes Landry's left leg - he's now in half guard. Sparrrrrow wants to work for an arm triangle but Landry is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Landry is not content to let Sparrrrrow control the position. Sparrrrrow sitting and controlling from the half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sparrrrrow is trying to control. Landry wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sparrrrrow performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jack Sparrrrrow was stalling too much, according to the referee. Landry throws the left hand but Sparrrrrow avoids the punch easily. Landry lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Sparrrrrow pivots, looking for a leg kick but Landry is out of range and Sparrrrrow settles back down. Landry throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sparrrrrow takes one on the button. Landry digs a good body shot into Sparrrrrow's ribs. Some bone on bone action there as Landry checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Sparrrrrow tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Landry is able to avoid easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Landry connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Landry keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Sparrrrrow feints and as Landry raises his hands in defense, Sparrrrrow changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Sparrrrrow wants to control from the top but Landry keeps moving. Landry wants to sweep here but Sparrrrrow controlling him for the moment. Sparrrrrow pushing down on Landry's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Sparrrrrow in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Landry tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Sparrrrrow!
