Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alex Matty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marian Kotlar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Matty! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marian Kotlar! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Steven Brown and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kotlar is trying hard to land a takedown here. Matty sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Matty defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kotlar. Kotlar tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kotlar stuffs the takedown. Matty could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Kotlar thows a body shot but no joy. Marian Kotlar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Matty throws the kick towards the body but Kotlar avoids it. Kotlar misses with a series of wild punches.
Matty throws a head kick but Kotlar moves out of range.
Matty fails to land the takedown. Kotlar swats away the attempt to clinch by Matty. Matty stuffs the takedown. Alex Matty has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marian Kotlar.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kotlar throws a shot from downtown. Matty moves away and avoids it. Kotlar is looking to clinch. Kotlar throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Matty was covering up waiting for the punch and Kotlar finishes the takedown easily into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Kotlar slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Matty working a defensive guard but Kotlar manages to pass into side control anyway.
Kotlar wants to stand but Matty has his arm trapped. Kotlar postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Matty's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. A lull in the action here. Matty is trying to control Kotlar's posture but Kotlar avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Marian Kotlar hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Kotlar fails with a takedown attempt. Kotlar shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kotlar showed some decent athleticism there. Kotlar is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Matty might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Matty looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kotlar wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kotlar is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Matty defends it well. Kotlar is looking for a kimura but Matty is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kotlar to get the leverage. Matty is looking to get back to full guard here but Kotlar has managed to pass to side control instead. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Matty tries to improve position but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marian Kotlar dominated that round. That's time! Matty's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Kotlar throws a nice looking combination but Matty bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kotlar circles away from the clinch attempt and Kotlar counters with a three punch combo that has Matty backing up. Matty nods at Kotlar to acknowledge the strikes. Kotlar stuffs the takedown. Kotlar manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Matty on his heels. He'll look to pass Matty's guard now, I'm sure. Matty is trying to keep Kotlar in close.
Kotlar content to stall in guard here. Kotlar throws a big right hand that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kotlar is pushing down on Matty's leg trying to pass to half guard. Matty is fighting to maintain full guard but Kotlar has managed to sneak the leg through. Kotlar in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Matty tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Kotlar!
