Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dale Crum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Dunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dale Crum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Dunn!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Crum shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dunn's guard.
Crum wanted to stand there but Dunn had control of the position.
Dunn wants to sweep but no luck.
Dunn has Crum pulled in close to control his posture.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Crum pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dunn is keeping the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Crum wants to stand but Dunn is controlling his posture from full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Crum doesn't manage to clinch there - Dunn circles away.
Crum throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Crum moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Crum misses with a series of wild punches.
Crum throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Dunn stuffs the takedown attempt from Crum. Crum gets slowly back to his feet.
Nice takedown defense from Dunn. No joy for Crum on that attempt.
Dunn fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dunn tries for a takedown but Crum circles away easily
and Crum counters with a two punch combo.
Crum misses with the combination.
Dunn showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Crum.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dunn throws a leg kick

and Crum counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Crum.
Crum tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dunn smiles and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dale Crum dominated that round.
That's time! Crum's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Dunn keeps the fight on the outside.

Crum fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dunn sprawls well initially but Crum persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Dunn holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Dunn is trying to keep from getting into a worse position than he's already in but Dunn is working away and isn't letting himself get tied up.

Crum is tying to control. Dunn wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Dunn is looking to control Crum's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dunn avoid being mounted?

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Dunn controlling the position for now.
Dunn wants to improve his position but Crum is controlling well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Crum moves out of range of the body kick.
Dunn misses with a double jab.
Crum looks for a takedown but Dunn sprawls well.
Crum is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Crum lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Crum closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Dunn is looking to regain half guard here but Crum keeps moving and retains side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Dunn tries for a takedown but Crum circles away easily

and Crum counters by clinching up.
Dunn throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Crums head.
Crum tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Crum has Dunn pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dunn manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Crum tries to land knees in the clinch but Dunn avoids the damage to the body.
Dunn blocks the elbow strike.
Crum tries to pull guard but Dunn holds him up against the cage and eventually Crum drops back down to his feet.

Dunn tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Dunn tries to break the clinch but Crum is controlling the position.
Crum throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Dunn blocks it with crossed arms.
Crum throws a knee to the head but misses.
Dunn lands a body shot.

Dunn cracks Crum with a nice body shot.
Crum using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Dunn has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Crum lands a damaging elbow.
Dunn wants to stall.
Crum tries a knee to the head but Dunn blocks it.
Crum with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

Dunn prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dale Crum. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Crum throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Dunn avoids the elbow strike from Crum, against the cage.
Crum throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Crum scores a nice knee to the body.
Crum tries a knee to the head but Dunn blocks it.

Crum manages to pull guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Crum keeping moving, preventing Dunn from controlling successfully.
Dunn pushes down on Crum's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Crum is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dunn's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dunn's back!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dale Crum.
Well Crum has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
