The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Barr misses. Barr lands a front kick. Omielanczuk avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Omielanczuk moves away from the strike by Barr. Barr drives through and clinches with Omielanczuk against the cage.

Barr has Omielanczuk pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Omielanczuk is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Barr - that's hurt Omielanczuk badly! Oh, another knee lands and Omielanczuk is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Omielanczuk doesn't seem to be complaining.
