The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Big Man throws a nice outside leg kick.
A right-left combo lands from Big Man.
It looks like Buckley Starchwhite has been cut.
Big Man wants to clinch.
Big Man shoots in for a double leg but Starchwhite sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Big Man tries to close the distance and clinch up but Starchwhite swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Big Man tries to clinch but Starchwhite moves out of range.
Starchwhite shoots in looking for a takedown but Big Man manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Starchwhite's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Starchwhite gets a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Big Man has hold of Starchwhite's hands but Starchwhite slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Starchwhite scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
