Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brojna Kruth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Mercer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brojna Kruth! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alex Mercer! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kruth tries to keep at a distance but Mercer has taken the fight into the clinch. Kruth is trying to force a seperation but Mercer has the dominant position. Kruth escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kruth rushes Mercer and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Mercer is trying to pull guard but Kruth turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Mercer breaks from the clinch.
Mercer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kruth, pushing him back against the cage. Kruth gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Mercer regains guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Mercer keeping full guard, as Kruth tries to pass. Kruth got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mercer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kruth has managed to get both his arms back between Mercer's legs - danger averted. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kruth trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kruth slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Mercer gets back to half guard. Mercer is looking for a sweep. Kruth is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Mercer is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Kruth is looking to advance position but Mercer won't allow it. Kruth is working hard here to advance position. Kruth stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mercer trying to control but Kruth postures up.
Kruth wants to stand up but Mercer has a hold of him and won't allow it. Mercer is trying to get back to full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mercer clinches with his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mercer wants to break free but Kruth has control.
Mercer has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kruth uses from the top position. Kruth sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mercer's guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kruth is working for a submission of some sort.
Kruth looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Mercer actively working from the bottom here. Kruth slips a nice elbow through Mercer's hands, connecting with Mercer's forehead. Kruth looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mercer is looking to control Kruth's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mercer avoid being mounted? Kruth perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Kruth seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mercer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kruth is nestled in close to Mercer, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Mercer is looking for a sweep. Kruth is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kruth knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mercer on the ground. Mercer is staying active underneath Kruth, who seems content to just control the action from this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Brojna Kruth will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Mercer lands with a slapping head kick. Mercer gets tackled into the cage by Kruth. Kruth maintains the clinch. Kruth pushes Mercer back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Mercer wants to break free but Kruth has control.

Mercer throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Mercer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kruth moves away. Kruth closes the distance and clinches. Mercer keeps control of Kruth as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Mercer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kruth takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Mercer moves into the clinch. Kruth is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Mercer gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Mercer jumps guard but Kruth turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. A body shot lands from Kruth.

Mercer is trying to push Kruth away but Kruth has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Kruth jumps guard but Mercer stands there with Kruth around his waist. Kruth gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Mercer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kruth, pushing him back against the cage. Kruth tries to score a body lock takedown but Mercer shows good agility there to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brojna Kruth. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mercer is trying to break free. Kruth tries to work over Mercer's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. A frustrated look appears on Mercer's face as he tries to break the clinch. Mercer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Kruth shoots in and gets a takedown into Mercer's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kruth pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mercer is keeping the position for now. Mercer controls Kruth momentarily but Kruth frees himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brojna Kruth dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Alex Mercer's cut. That's time! Kruth's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Brojna Kruth is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Mercer is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Mercer working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Kruth tries to bench press Mercer off him but Mercer keeps the position. Kruth is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Mercer off and has taken his back! Mercer wants to control his opponent's hands but Kruth gets his hands free. Mercer rolls, trying to escape but Kruth keeps control of the position.
Kruth controls the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mercer trying to control the action but Kruth just sinks the hooks in. Alex Mercer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kruth is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Mercer has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Alex Mercer. I think Kruth has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
