Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robin Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Iron Fist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Iron Fist drives through and clinches with Smith against the cage.
Iron Fist keeps control of Smith as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Iron Fist looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Smith has Iron Fist pressed against the cage, preventing Iron Fist from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Iron Fist fails to pull guard.
Iron Fist blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Iron Fist lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Smith jumps guard but Iron Fist turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Smith not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Smith thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Iron Fist stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smith swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Smith has a closed guard, preventing Iron Fist from standing up.
Smith knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Iron Fist on the ground.
Iron Fist is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Robert Iron Fist has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Smith dodges the punch combination from Iron Fist.

Smith moves into the clinch.
Smith is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Iron Fist is keeping busy.
Smith stops a takedown attempt from Iron Fist.
Smith is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Smith breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Iron Fist tries to close the distance and clinch up but Smith swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Smith avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Smith tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Iron Fist swivels and escapes.

Iron Fist moves into range and clinches up with Smith.

and Iron Fist counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith striking off his back but it's not causing Iron Fist any problems.

Smith tries to escape but Iron Fist is in control.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Iron Fist tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Iron Fist wants to lay and pray for a moment but Smith keeps working.

Iron Fist wants to stand but Smith has his arm trapped.
Smith tries to buck Iron Fist off but Iron Fist is having none of it.
You can see the frustration on Smith's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Iron Fist is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Smith will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Smith counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Smith.
Robin Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Iron Fist.
Smith wants a takedown but no success here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Iron Fist wants to take the fight to the mat but Smith manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Iron Fist tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Smith just stands there and leans against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Iron Fist shoots in for a double leg but Smith sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Iron Fist has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Smith regains guard immediately.

Iron Fist drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Iron Fist seems to have locked his on tight now - Smith screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Iron Fist, as he picks up the win!
