The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stakehouse fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silva, pushing him back against the cage.
Stakehouse blocks a body shot from Silva.
Silva tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Stakehouse's elbow.
Silva tries a body shot but Stakehouse blocks it.
Stakehouse jumps guard and drags Silva to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Stakehouse working a defensive guard but Silva passes into half guard.
Silva content to control rather than advance.
Silva is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Stakehouse doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Silva.
Silva content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Stakehouse is not content to let Silva control the position.

Stakehouse wants to control but Silva is keeping busy.
Stakehouse tries to kick Silva off but Silva keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jason Stakehouse.
Stakehouse looking to score a takedown here. Silva is defending well but Stakehouse drives through and ends up in Silva's guard.
Stakehouse chips away with some ground and pound.
Silva trying to keep a closed guard but Stakehouse is proving a slippery customer.

Silva looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Stakehouse is defending well. Silva quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Stakehouse has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Silva celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
