The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramon looks to score with a jab to the body but Rodriguez is just out of range.
Rodriguez misses with a low kick.
Rodriguez tries to clinch but Ramon is having none of it.

Ramon forces Rodriguez back against the cage and clinches.

Ramon tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rodriguez smiles and moves away.

Ramon tries to score a body lock takedown but Rodriguez shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Rodriguez gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Ramon tries to pull guard but Rodriguez won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Razor Ramon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ramon is trying to break the clinch but Rodriguez has him pressed against the cage.

Rodriguez is looking to land a big knee to finish this one. He's got control of the head and as Ramon tries to break Rodriguez's hands from around his neck, Rodriguez unloads with that fight ending knee, right up the middle! Oh man, that was nasty! Ramon will need to get back to the training room and learn how to defend against the thai clinch! Oooh, his nose is a mess. Hopefully it's not broken.
