Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gary Bunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Lamotta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bunn comes to the cage accompanied by Go to Sleep - Eminem. Lamotta is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by yes. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gary Bunn! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
34 - 13 - 1, fighting out of London, Jake Lamotta! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lamotta fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Bunn looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Lamotta throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Bunn counters with a lovely straight right hand! Lamotta throws a low kick but it's checked well by Bunn. Lamotta takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Bunn feints and then cracks Lamotta's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lamotta down. Lamotta throws a head kick but Bunn moves out of range.
Lamotta closes the distance and clinches up with Bunn, looking for a takedown. Lamotta pushes Bunn against the cage but Bunn circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Lamotta closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bunn to the mat! Bunn manages to get full guard. Bunn lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lamotta! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lamotta tries to hold on but Bunn postures up. Bunn landing strikes, looking to finish!

Bunn wants to control the pace but Lamotta is squirming around nicely. Lamotta keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Bunn seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lamotta does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Bunn is thwarting Lamotta's attempts to control the position. Bunn is keen to just control but Lamotta is a slippery customer.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Lamotta throws a right and a left that both miss. Lamotta takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Lamotta connects with a solid leg kick. Bunn throws a looping overhand right but Lamotta ducks down to avoid it. Lamotta digs a good hook to Bunn's body.
Bunn is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lamotta. Bunn uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lamotta. A telegraphed right hand from Lamotta misses the target. Lamotta throws a leg kick which misses Bunn's front leg but catches the back leg as Bunn tries to avoid it. Lamotta keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lamotta rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bunn moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bunn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lamotta paws at him with a jab and circles away. Lamotta blocks a head kick by Bunn.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Lamotta looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Bunn throws a lazy right hand but Lamotta sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Lamotta has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Lamotta there as he acknowledges the shot. Lamotta scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Bunn changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lamotta looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Lamotta is looking to regain half guard here but Bunn keeps moving and retains side control.
