Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lee Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Cordoba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perry comes to the cage accompanied by Run For Cover. Cordoba has chosen English Fire by CoF as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cordoba attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Cordoba connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Cordoba takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Cordoba tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Cordoba chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Perry can pounce on him.
Perry tries to score with a low kick but Cordoba moves his leg out of the way.
Perry takes a head kick and keeps coming.
That kick from Cordoba tenderised Perry's leg. Perry is trying to keep his angry face on.

Cordoba dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Perry. That did some damage!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Perry throws a wild body kick that Cordoba sees coming a mile off.
Perry does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Perry fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Cordoba walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Perry checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Cordoba finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

A nice inside leg kick there by Perry. That's going to slow Cordoba down.

Cordoba tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Perry paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cordoba moves in looking to clinch but Perry pushes him off.

Cordoba wants to land a leg kick but Perry is out of range.
Perry has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Cordoba finds it's way round the side to connect with Perry's head.
Perry clobbers Cordoba with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Perry counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Perry lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Perry postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Perry sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cordoba's guard.
Perry is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Perry is stalling here. Cordoba is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Perry seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Cordoba has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Cordoba moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Alex Cordoba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perry throws a lazy body kick
and Cordoba connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Cordoba misses with a head kick.
Cordoba throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Cordoba takes a swing at Perry's ribcage but misses.

and Perry counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Cordoba!
Perry swings around for an armbar but Cordoba sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Perry's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Perry isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Cordoba stacks Perry on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Cordoba!
Perry regains half guard, as Cordoba was trying to land strikes.
Cordoba really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Perry. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Perry, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
