Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Payne Stewart Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Knarles Grunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stewart Jr comes to the cage accompanied by YC feat. Future - Racks. Grunt has chosen BLUNT- The Iron Maiden as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Payne Stewart Jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Knarles Grunt! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stewart Jr throws a half hearted mid kick. Grunt swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Grunt misses with a hook. Stewart Jr ducked under it nicely. Grunt throws the left hand but Stewart Jr avoids the punch easily. Grunt has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Stewart Jr. Stewart Jr moves into range and connects with a jab. Grunt misses with the combination.
Stewart Jr lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Stewart Jr misses with a straight left. Stewart Jr cracks Grunt with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Stewart Jr throws a looping overhand right but Grunt ducks down to avoid it. Grunt uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Stewart Jr. Grunt takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Grunt throws a hook but Stewart Jr avoids it easily. Stewart Jr throws a leg kick which misses Grunt's front leg but catches the back leg as Grunt tries to avoid it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Grunt lands with a straight right. Stewart Jr didn't see that one coming. A jab from Stewart Jr misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stewart Jr throws a looping overhand right but Grunt ducks down to avoid it. Stewart Jr walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Grunt checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Stewart Jr looks to throw the jab but Grunt is out of range. Stewart Jr misses with a looping right. Stewart Jr slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Grunt checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. The fight stays on the outside here - Grunt looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Stewart Jr takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Grunt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Grunt misses with a looping left. Stewart Jr lands with a slapping head kick. Stewart Jr swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Grunt connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Grunt throws a shot from downtown. Stewart Jr moves away and avoids it. Stewart Jr misses with a double jab
so Grunt counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Grunt stopping the sweep attempt from Stewart Jr.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grunt working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Grunt trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Stewart Jr keeping moving, preventing Grunt from controlling successfully. Grunt postures up in Stewart Jr's guard and throws a big left but Stewart Jr blocks it. Grunt is working Stewart Jr over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Grunt loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stewart Jr pulls Grunt in close to his closed guard and prevents Grunt from doing any damage or advancing position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Grunt postures up in Stewart Jr's guard and throws a big left but Stewart Jr blocks it. Grunt with a flurry of punches that miss. Grunt is looking to work some ground and pound but Stewart Jr has wrist control. Grunt with a flurry of punches that miss. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Grunt accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Grunt tries to free his leg and advance position but Stewart Jr is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grunt stays in close to Stewart Jr's body and controls the position. Grunt looking to sit in guard and control but Stewart Jr gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Grunt looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Stewart Jr would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Grunt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Grunt is looking for a triangle but Stewart Jr pushes his legs off easily.

A close round but Knarles Grunt will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Good exchange - Stewart Jr coming out on top. Grunt takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Grunt bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Stewart Jr throws a big shot that misses. Grunt closes the distance and clinches. Stewart Jr's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Grunt softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Grunt tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Stewart Jr smiles and moves away.
Grunt shoots in for a double leg but Stewart Jr sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Stewart Jr has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Stewart Jr there as he acknowledges the shot. Stewart Jr gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Grunt. Horrible takedown by Grunt or perhaps it was just good defense by Stewart Jr which made him look bad. Payne Stewart Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Knarles Grunt. Grunt thows a body shot but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stewart Jr goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Stewart Jr throws out a loose jab but Grunt uses good head movement to avoid it. Grunt scores with a body shot.
Stewart Jr misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Grunt staying out of range there. Grunt throws a jab but it's blocked by Stewart Jr. Grunt takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Stewart Jr. Stewart Jr leaves Grunt with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Grunt throws out a loose jab but Stewart Jr uses good head movement to avoid it. Grunt throws a series of punches but Stewart Jr moves out of range. Stewart Jr tests Grunt's chin there with a solid looking shot. Stewart Jr throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grunt throws a body punch but Stewart Jr moves out of range. Stewart Jr misses with a looping right. Stewart Jr ducks right into an uppercut from Grunt. Grunt scores with a jab to the jaw. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stewart Jr moves away from the strike by Grunt. Stewart Jr takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Stewart Jr throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Grunt takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Stewart Jr shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Stewart Jr waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Grunt. A punch combination from Grunt misses. Stewart Jr scores with a push kick. Grunt showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Stewart Jr.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stewart Jr pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Grunt throws a body punch but Stewart Jr moves out of range. A head kick misses from Stewart Jr. Grunt shoots in and gets a takedown into Stewart Jr's guard. Stewart Jr manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Grunt manages to get himself to full guard.
Stewart Jr trying to stand up but can't free himself from Grunt's guard. Grunt has his foot on Stewart Jr's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stewart Jr works his way back into a safe position though. Grunt is working an open guard so Stewart Jr takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Grunt misses with a straight right. Grunt lands a nice looking body shot.

Stewart Jr lands a lovely overhand right. Stewart Jr bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Grunt takes a swing at Stewart Jr's ribcage but misses. Payne Stewart Jr is winning the standup battle so far. Stewart Jr scores with a crisp jab that stopped Grunt in his tracks. Grunt connects with a nice looking jab.
Grunt checks the leg kick. Grunt lands with an overhand left. Grunt checks a leg kick. Stewart Jr moves forwards but Grunt connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Stewart Jr is rocked! Grunt scores with a decent looking hook. Oh Stewart Jr is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Grunt misses with a few strikes there.
Stewart Jr takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Grunt throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Stewart Jr colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Grunt as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Stewart Jr is left battered and dazed whilst Grunt and his camp cheer!
