Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Payne Stewart Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Knarles Grunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stewart Jr comes to the cage accompanied by YC feat. Future - Racks. Grunt has chosen BLUNT- The Iron Maiden as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stewart Jr throws a half hearted mid kick.
Grunt swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Grunt misses with a hook. Stewart Jr ducked under it nicely.
Grunt throws the left hand but Stewart Jr avoids the punch easily.
Grunt has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Stewart Jr.
Stewart Jr moves into range and connects with a jab.

Stewart Jr lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Stewart Jr cracks Grunt with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Grunt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Horrible takedown by Grunt or perhaps it was just good defense by Stewart Jr which made him look bad.
