0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Leonard Kinney! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kinney has managed to clinch.
Kinney is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Kinney has Rasputin pressed against the cage.
Kinney jumps guard and drags Rasputin to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Rasputin avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rasputin drops back looking for a leg! Kinney is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kinney manages to kick Rasputin off! Rasputin jumps back into Kinney's guard. Kinney is looking for a triangle but Rasputin pushes his legs off easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kinney is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rasputin drops back looking for a leg! Kinney is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kinney manages to kick Rasputin off! Rasputin jumps back into Kinney's guard.

Rasputin tries to free his leg and advance position but Kinney is retaining full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Rasputin scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Rasputin works his foot free and advances to mount. Rasputin is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kinney is surviving well by controlling Rasputin's body position as best he can. Kinney tries to lock up and control but Rasputin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Rasputin lands with some strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rasputin with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
