Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Manny Mondo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramirez has chosen Slipknot - Surfacing as his entrance music. Manny Mondo has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Manny Mondo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Anthony Ramirez!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mondo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ramirez as he avoids it easily.
Mondo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Mondo wants to control from the top but Ramirez keeps moving.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Mondo content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Mondo working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ramirez's head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mondo postures up in Ramirez's guard and throws a big left but Ramirez blocks it.
Mondo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

A close round but Anthony Ramirez will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Ramirez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Mondo shoots and misses
and Ramirez moves into the clinch.
Mondo tries a knee to the head but Ramirez blocks it.
Ramirez fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Mondo lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Ramirez backwards.
Ramirez wants a takedown.
Mondo breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mondo fails to land with a series of punches.
Ramirez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ramirez tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mondo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ramirez moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Mondo.

Ramirez decides to stand up, so the ref orders Mondo to his feet.
Mondo pushes Ramirez up against the cage in a clinch.
Come on Mondo - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Mondo seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Mondo postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Ramirez in real trouble here! The ref calls for Ramirez to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
