Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lex Luthor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Soya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Lex Luthor has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lex Luthor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Don Soya!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soya keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Luthor closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Soya did well to prevent Luthor getting side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Soya wants to improve his position but Luthor is controlling well.
Luthor is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Soya sees it coming and defends easily.
Soya manages to get to full guard.
Luthor stopping the sweep attempt from Soya.
Soya working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Luthor doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Luthor manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Luthor accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Soya wants to sweep here but Luthor controlling him for the moment.

Soya manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Luthor manages to get himself to full guard.

Soya drops back looking for a leg! Luthor is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Luthor manages to kick Soya off! Soya jumps back into Luthor's guard.
Luthor will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Luthor tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Soya drops back, looking for a kneebar! Luthor looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Luthor looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Luthor!
Luthor looks up at the clock and then as Soya takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Luthor smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Soya is looking to reverse the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Soya sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Nice strikes from Luthor there.
Soya looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Soya gets full guard.
Luthor throws a big elbow that misses.
Luthor really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Soya is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Soya is looking for a kimura but Luthor is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Soya to get the leverage.
Luthor is looking for a sweep. Soya is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Soya wants to work for an arm triangle but Luthor is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Soya is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Luthor tries to hold on but Soya postures up.

Luthor knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Soya on the ground.
Soya is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Luthor is tapping out! This one is all over!
