Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Will Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renato Evangelista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evangelista looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Lewis taking some punishment here, with Evangelista in his half guard. Evangelista wants to stand up but Lewis has a hold of him and won't allow it. Evangelista wants to free his trapped foot but Lewis is holding on for dear life with his legs. Lewis missing with punches from the bottom.

Evangelista seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lewis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Evangelista takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Renato Evangelista has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Lewis keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Evangelista.

Evangelista escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lewis gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Lewis throws an elbow that misses. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Lewis manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Evangelista manages to get himself to full guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Evangelista looks like he's trying to stand up.

Lewis trying to control but Evangelista is working from the bottom. Lewis with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Lewis stands and steps away. Evangelista gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Evangelista misses with a takedown attempt - Lewis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Lewis scores with a takedown into Evangelista's guard. Evangelista looks winded!

Lewis wants to control from the top but Evangelista keeps moving. This has been an exciting period of action! Evangelista looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That was a close round but I would say that Will Lewis will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Lewis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Evangelista is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Evangelista working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lewis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Evangelista is tightening it up a little... Lewis has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Lewis reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Lewis taps out! Nice BJJ there by Evangelista!
