Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Om Oms!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Andy Loow!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Oms.
Loow closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Oms to the mat! Oms manages to get full guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Loow stays in close to Oms's body and controls the position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Loow won't allow Oms to get back to his feet.
Oms keeping moving, preventing Loow from controlling successfully.
Loow advances position into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Oms tries to bench press Loow off him but Loow keeps the position.
Loow is looking to take a break and control but Oms is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Oms is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Oms's face as Loow controls the position.
Oms throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Loow controlling the position.
Loow trying to control the action but Oms is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Loow is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Oms will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Loow scores with punches from side control.
Loow controlling the position.
Loow wants to control but Oms is keeping him busy.
Oms is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Loow is staying tight to Oms's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Loow's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Loow trying to control the position but Oms is working away.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Andy Loow wasn't active enough on the ground.
Loow takes one to the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Oms lands a big right hand that sends Loow crashing to the mat! Oms stays standing though and waves Loow back to his feet!
Loow is rocked!
