Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jones Crosby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ebenezer Scrooge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jones Crosby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ebenezer Scrooge! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scrooge dips to his left and cracks Crosby with an uppercut! Scrooge connects with a nice looking jab.
A combination from Crosby does no damage. Scrooge scores with a sloppy right hand. Crosby should have avoided that one. Crosby tries to clinch up. Crosby throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Scrooge. Scrooge shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Crosby napping and manages to drive through into side control! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Scrooge stands up and beckons Crosby to his feet. Scrooge is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Crosby misses with a two punch combination.
Scrooge throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Crosby is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Scrooge. Scrooge scores with a sloppy right hand. Crosby should have avoided that one. Crosby misses with a head kick.
Scrooge throws a head kick that half lands.
Crosby has a takedown stuffed. Scrooge feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Crosby is working an open guard so Scrooge takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Jones Crosby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Scrooge connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scrooge shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Scrooge is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Crosby defends it well. Crosby controlling the position well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Scrooge is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Crosby keeps control of the position for the meantime. Crosby tries to kick Scrooge off but Scrooge keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Scrooge is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Scrooge wants to stand up but Crosby is controlling the position.
Crosby has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Scrooge is working away from the top position though. Scrooge prevents Crosby from improving his position. Scrooge decides to stand and escape the position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Scrooge displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crosby waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Scrooge. Scrooge fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Crosby sprawls well initially but Scrooge persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Scrooge decides to stand and escape the position. Scrooge lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Crosby circles away quickly and effectively. Crosby misses with a combination
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. letting Scrooge counter with a right hand. Scrooge looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Crosby! Scrooge lands some shots froms side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Crosby is trying to control Scrooge's posture but Scrooge avoids it. Crosby might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Sloppy strikes there by Scrooge. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Scrooge wants to control but Crosby is keeping him busy. Crosby can't do much from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crosby is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Scrooge is staying tight to Crosby's torso, preventing him from escaping. Scrooge tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Scrooge has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Scrooge has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Crosby wants to clinch. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Crosby tries to clinch but Scrooge is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ebenezer Scrooge dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Scrooge looks to land a combination. Crosby sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Scrooge scores with a decent looking hook. Scrooge lands with an overhand left. Scrooge has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Scrooge fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Scrooge's jab looks to have found its range, popping Crosby under the eye. A punch combination from Crosby misses. Crosby throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Scrooge counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Crosby shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Scrooge but Scrooge pushes him off and we're back to square one. Scrooge shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Scrooge has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Scrooge thows a huge punch but Crosby dodges it nicely.
Ebenezer Scrooge has got the better of the ground game so far. Crosby is trying to maintain the position but Scrooge is very close to passing his half guard. Crosby pushes Scrooge off looking to stand but Scrooge dives back in and keeps control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scrooge is working for a submission of some sort.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Scrooge looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Crosby with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Scrooge postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Crosby to stand up. Scrooge takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Scrooge lands with a nice body punch. Scrooge throws a head kick that misses. Crosby misses with a combination
and Scrooge connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Crosby misses with a series of wild punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Scrooge cracks Crosby with a good jab. A cross from Scrooge lands. Scrooge connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Scrooge scores with a nice strike. Crosby gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Scrooge lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Crosby blocks a head kick by Scrooge.
Crosby misses with a series of wild punches.
A shot to the liver by Scrooge. Beautiful body shot. Scrooge connects with a body shot. Scrooge connects with a crisp jab. Crosby lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Scrooge circles away quickly and effectively. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Scrooge!
Scrooge tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Crosby fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Scrooge is out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crosby throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Scrooge cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Scrooge might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Scrooge tries a head kick but it misses.
Scrooge tries to clinch but Crosby is having none of it. Jab by Scrooge. Scrooge fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Crosby on the side of the head. Scrooge throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Crosby is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Crosby misses with a double jab
and Scrooge connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Scrooge showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Crosby.
Scrooge scores with a jab to the body. Ebenezer Scrooge seems to be getting the better of the standup. Scrooge rushes Crosby and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Scrooge escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Crosby takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Crosby takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Crosby throws a lazy uppercut
and Scrooge counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crosby takes one to the side of the head.
The fighters circle momentarily. Scrooge darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Scrooge throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Crosby tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Scrooge is in Crosby's guard. Crosby is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Scrooge thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Scrooge throws a big elbow that misses. Scrooge stands and steps away. Crosby gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Jones Crosby is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Crosby takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Crosby avoids the head kick by Scrooge.
Scrooge scores with a takedown into Crosby's guard. Scrooge has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Scrooge stands up from Crosby's guard - Scrooge perhaps looking for a knockout. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ebenezer Scrooge showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Crosby takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Scrooge connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Crosby takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Crosby looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Scrooge avoids a punch combination nicely.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Nice body punch from Crosby.
That's one minute gone in the round. A left and a right from Scrooge both land. Nice combination. Oooooh!!! Scrooge has knocked Crosby down with a huge combo! Scrooge steps away and waves a wobbly Crosby back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Crosby is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Scrooge finds Crosby's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Crosby flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Scrooge lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Crosby will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ebenezer Scrooge! Ebenezer Scrooge was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
