Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Valko Hai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Gruberman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Gruberman's choice of entrance music: Boot to the Head. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Valko Hai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ed Gruberman!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hai fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gruberman avoids it really well and circles away.
Gruberman uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hai.
Hai shoots in looking for a takedown. Gruberman tries to sprawl out of it but Hai keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gruberman manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hai seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gruberman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gruberman can do anything to dispel that myth.
Gruberman looks like he's trying to stand up.
Hai thows a huge punch but Gruberman dodges it nicely.
Gruberman has hold of Hai's hands but Hai slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hai in particular looking to stall.
Hai wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gruberman keeps working.
Well, if Hai is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Valko Hai just wasn't active enough.
Gruberman avoids a punch combination nicely.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Hai throws his legs up looking for a submission but Gruberman uses it to pass to side control.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

I would just about give that final round to Ed Gruberman.
Well Hai has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
