Ricard has chosen Frank The Tank as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noitalahti throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ricard.
It looks like Frank Ricard has been cut.
Ricard throws a right hand that Noitalahti ducks under and follows up with a left that Noitalahti also avoids with ease.
Ricard swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Noitalahti counters with a left and a right that stings Ricard.
Noitalahti tries to sprawl but Ricard drives through with a takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Ricard decides to stand and escape the position.
Ricard takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Noitalahti misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ricard lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Noitalahti sprawling to the canvas. Ricard follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Noitalahti hang on?

Ricard shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Noitalahti sprawls well. Noitalahti wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ricard gets slowly back to his feet.
Ricard is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Ricard shuts the power down on Noitalahti. Lights out, game over! Ricard is your winner.

Frank Ricard was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
