Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Lennox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Orihito Shibukawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Lennox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Orihito Shibukawa!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lennox changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shibukawa looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Lennox's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That was a close second round but I would say that John Lennox will probably get the nod.
That's time! Lennox's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Lennox can't find room to land a body shot as Shibukawa controls the action.
Shibukawa wants a takedown but no success here.

Lennox's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lennox shoots for a takedown but Shibukawa saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Lennox tries to clinch up but Shibukawa circles away and keeps his distance.
Lennox shoots in looking for a takedown. Shibukawa tries to sprawl out of it but Lennox keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shibukawa manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Lennox. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lennox shoots for a double leg takedown but Shibukawa sprawls well. He's pushed Lennox's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Horrible takedown by Lennox or perhaps it was just good defense by Shibukawa which made him look bad.

Orihito Shibukawa has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
John Lennox is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Shibukawa looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Orihito Shibukawa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lennox has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
