Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Penn has chosen Awesome as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Penn moves away.
Penn swings for the body but Walker moves out of range.
Walker misses with a straight left.
Walker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Walker misses with a hook to the body
and Penn counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Penn misses with an uppercut.
Penn looks to throw the jab but Walker is out of range.
Walker lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Penn doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Penn swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Walker counters with a two punch combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Penn uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Walker.
Penn misses with a double jab.
Walker misses with a series of wild punches.
Penn doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Walker is looking to wear down Penn with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Walker clinches.
Penn is looking to take this one to the mat.
Penn is trying to break the clinch but Walker has him pressed against the ropes.

Penn wants a takedown but no success here.
Still in the clinch, Walker scores with a nice short uppercut.
Penn tries to break free but Walker pushes him back against the ropes.
Walker is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Brandon Walker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of BJ Penn.
Penn is trying to push Walker away but Walker has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.

Walker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Brandon Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Penn rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Walker moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Walker misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Penn.
Walker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Penn moves away.
Penn swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Penn missing with a left hand there. Walker was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Walker digs a good hook to Penn's body.
Walker blocks a jab.
Walker dodges the punch combination from Penn.

Oooooh!!! Walker has knocked Penn down with a huge combo! Walker steps away and waves a wobbly Penn back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Penn is rocked!

It looks like BJ Penn has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Walker throws a right and a left that Penn avoids nicely.
Penn is still on wobbly legs! Can Walker finish him?

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Walker falls off balance throwing a combination
and Penn cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Penn seems to have recovered his senses.
Walker keeps Penn at a distance using the push kick.
Penn looks winded!
Penn has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Walker.
Walker lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Penn at a distance.
Walker jabs at Penn's body.

Walker feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Penn sprawling to the canvas! Penn rolls over backwards and springs off the ropes and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Walker finish him?!
Walker drops Penn with a straight right hand, right on the button! Walker follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brandon Walker!
Brandon Walker bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
