Aanenson shoots in and drives through. Pope sprawls well.

and Aanenson counters with a shoot takedown. Pope fights it but they end up in guard.

Pope tries to close the distance and clinch up but Aanenson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Pope looks to land a combination but Aanenson avoids it well.
Aanenson shoots in looking for a takedown but Pope manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Aanenson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Pope clobbers Aanenson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Pope leaves Aanenson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Pope is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Aanenson lets go of the hold and Pope can pop his arm back in it's socket.

In his post fight interview, Sven Aanenson started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
