Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Maciej Jewtuszko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Erasmo Trout! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trout shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jewtuszko as he jumps to the side. Trout misses with a takedown attempt and Jewtuszko counters with a straight right hand. Trout has a takedown stuffed. Maciej Jewtuszko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erasmo Trout. Nice takedown defense from Jewtuszko. No joy for Trout on that attempt. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Trout is defended easily by Jewtuszko. Trout misses with a wild combination.
Trout dives in and grabs Jewtuszko's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jewtuszko pushes down on Trout's head and hops out.
That's one minute gone in the round. A shot to the body from Trout misses and Trout takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Trout is rocked! Trout tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jewtuszko swats him away and circles back towards the center. No luck with that takedown attempt from Trout. Trout is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jewtuszko sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Jewtuszko checks a leg kick. Trout shoots in looking for a takedown but Jewtuszko manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Trout's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Trout looks for a takedown but Jewtuszko sprawls well. Trout shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jewtuszko as he jumps to the side.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jewtuszko slaps away a takedown attempt from Trout, before circling back to the center of the mat. Trout closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jewtuszko circles away. The fight moves into the clinch position. Jewtuszko breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Trout fails with the takedown and Jewtuszko counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jewtuszko stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jewtuszko wants it to stay on the feet. Trout fails with the takedown and Jewtuszko counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Trout! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Jewtuszko!
