Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Johnston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Panther (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Panther has chosen Redman as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Johnston! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Tommy Panther! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.

Panther pushes Johnston up against the cage in a clinch. Panther is trying to break the clinch but Johnston has him pressed against the cage. Johnston wants a takedown.
Panther tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Johnston pulls guard effortlessly. Panther must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Johnston has his feet on Panther's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. No luck with that takedown attempt from Johnston.
Panther instigates a clinch. Johnston looking to slow down the pace here.
Panther manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Panther not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Panther has his foot on Johnston's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnston works his way back into a safe position though. Johnston wants to stand but Panther is controlling his posture from full guard. Panther controls Johnston momentarily but Johnston frees himself. Panther is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Panther pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Panther shoots in for a takedown but Johnston shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Tommy Panther seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Panther closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Johnston pulls guard effortlessly. Panther trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnston is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Panther seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Panther wants to control from the top but Johnston keeps moving.

Johnston breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Johnston lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Johnston slaps away a takedown attempt from Panther, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Panther fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Johnston, pushing him back against the cage. Panther is trying to push Johnston away but Johnston has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Johnston comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Panther works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Panther gets underhooks to prevent Johnston's takedown attempt.

Johnston is breathing heavily. Johnston can't get the takedown.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Johnston misses with some punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tommy Panther dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Johnston jumps guard but Panther turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Panther being controlled against the cage.
Johnston ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Johnston no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Panther seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Panther slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Johnston being controlled for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johnston throws a head punch that misses. Johnston tries to pull guard but Panther forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Johnston fails to pull guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Johnston looking to throw knees to the head but Panther is blocking nicely.

Panther stays in close to Johnston's body and controls the position. Johnston wants to sweep here but Panther controlling him for the moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Tommy Panther showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Johnston misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Johnston keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Johnston closes the distance and clinches up with Panther, looking for a takedown. Johnston pushes Panther against the cage but Panther circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Johnston pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Panther clinches. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Panther using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Johnston has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Johnston has Panther pressed against the cage, preventing Panther from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Tommy Panther seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far. Johnston stops a takedown attempt from Panther.

Johnston throws a sloppy head kick and Panther moves out of range easily. Johnston has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Panther circles away from the clinch attempt and Panther counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Panther misses with a few strikes there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Panther closes the distance and clinches. Joe Johnston has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tommy Panther is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Panther dodges an elbow strike from Johnston.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Tommy Panther. Well Panther has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
