Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tarquin Fortune (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mac Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Fortune might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Going the Distance - Bill Conti . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hansen lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Fortune darts in trying to clinch
and Hansen counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Fortune!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Hansen works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Hansen landing strikes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hansen scores with punches from side control.
Fortune sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Fortune tries to kick Hansen off in order to stand up. Hansen Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
An elbow from Hansen crashes against the mat.
Fortune tries to escape but Hansen is in control.
Fortune is looking for a sweep.
Hansen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Fortune knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Fortune sneaks back into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hansen seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Hansen is trying for a kimura here. Fortune looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Hansen wins by kimura!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Mac Hansen!
A relieved looking Mac Hansen thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
