Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jakoba Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velasquez has chosen Not Afraid as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Jason Velasquez enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jakoba Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jason Velasquez! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Illya Tyunina and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones gets a takedown into half guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Velasquez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones prevents Velasquez from improving his position. Jones working over Velasquez with some ground and pound. Velasquez looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Velasquez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Velasquez is staying active underneath Jones, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Jones is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Velasquez has managed to free his arm - good work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones is working for a submission of some sort.
Velasquez is positioning himself well to prevent Jones advancing to mount. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Velasquez wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ground and pound from Jones. Jones drops an elbow to the side of Velasquez's head. Velasquez tries to roll over but Jones keeps him under control. Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Velasquez keeps working. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jones lands a nice short elbow. Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jones is trying to control the action in half guard but Velasquez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Velasquez pushes Jones off looking to stand but Jones dives back in and keeps control.
Jones is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Velasquez is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
