Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pete Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pete Gordon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jorge Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Valeri Chadov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez fails with the takedown and Gordon counters with a nice body shot. Gordon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Gordon working some strikes from top position. Gordon postures up and lands a big shot to Sanchez's brow. Sanchez looking to control.
Sanchez has momentary wrist control but Gordon slips an elbow through the middle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gordon wants to stand but Sanchez has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Sanchez controls Gordon momentarily but Gordon frees himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gordon really is a fat lump.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gordon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Gordon tries to stand but Sanchez is controlling from the bottom. Gordon stopping the sweep attempt from Sanchez. Gordon loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Sanchez throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gordon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sanchez is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gordon, into his guard. Sanchez trying to control but Gordon is working from the bottom. Sanchez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gordon tries to land a sweep but no joy. Gordon wants to stand and escape but Sanchez is having none of it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sanchez wants to control from the top but Gordon keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jorge Sanchez. Gordon closes the distance and clinches. Gordon gets underhooks to prevent Sanchez's takedown attempt.
Sanchez using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Gordon has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Gordon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Sanchez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Pete Gordon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jorge Sanchez. Sanchez tries to clinch but fails miserably and Gordon counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Sanchez looking for a triangle here. Gordon is fighting it but it looks tight! Sanchez pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Gordon is tapping out - this one is all over!
