Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Arturo Gatti III (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Benjamin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gatti III comes to the cage accompanied by Black Milk & Royce 5'9 - Losing out. Benjamin has chosen Pastor Troy - It's About To Go Down as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tyson Benjamin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Benjamin moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
A lazy left from Benjamin finds it's target.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Benjamin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gatti III is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Benjamin clobbers Gatti III with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Gatti III looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Benjamin is fending him off so far but Gatti III persists. Nope, Benjamin circles away and we're back to standing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Gatti III cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Benjamin throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gatti III sees it coming and avoids it easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Arturo Gatti III will probably get the nod.
