The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Eddy has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Eddy is trying to work for a kimura but Davis is defending well.

Eddy closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Davis to the mat! Davis manages to get full guard.

Davis can't keep his opponent in guard - Eddy advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Davis's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Eddy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Eddy shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Davis is trying to defend but Eddy finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
