Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Reitman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matt Bear! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ivan Reitman! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bear has Reitman up against the cage in a clinch.
Bear could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Bear has Reitman pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Reitman manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Reitman pulls guard. Bear wanted to stand there but Reitman had control of the position. Bear being controlled here momentarily. Reitman scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Nice sprawl there from Bear as Reitman shoots in. Reitman drives through with a takedown into Bear's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Reitman tries to stand but Bear is controlling from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reitman stopping the sweep attempt from Bear. Bear has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Reitman has passed into side control.
Bear is trying to improve his position. Bear struggling a bit here. A lull in the action here. Bear tries to buck Reitman off but Reitman is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Reitman working away. Reitman postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Bear wants to get back to his feet. You can see the frustration on Bear's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Bear is looking to get back to his feet here but Reitman is keeping cool and he's managed to take Bear's back.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Reitman looking for the choke from the back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bear looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Reitman is trying to stick to Bear's back but Bear is turning into Reitman. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Reitman's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Bear. Bear trying to stand up but can't free himself from Reitman's guard. Reitman trying to control the position here. Reitman wants to stand up but Bear is controlling him. Reitman looks winded! Reitman is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reitman wants to stand but Bear is controlling the position. Bear wants to control from the top but Reitman keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Matt Bear wasn't doing enough on the ground. Bear closes this distance looking for a takedown but Reitman circles away. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bear slaps away a takedown attempt from Reitman, before circling back to the center of the mat. Ivan Reitman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bear clinches up against the cage. Reitman wants a takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ivan Reitman will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Reitman with a poor takedown and Bear counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Reitman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bear counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Reitman is rocked! Nice sprawl there from Bear as Reitman shoots in. Matt Bear has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ivan Reitman. Bear tries for a takedown but Reitman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Bear dives in and grabs Reitman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Reitman pushes down on Bear's head and hops out. Bear takes the fight into the clinch. Reitman tries to pull guard but Bear holds him up against the cage and eventually Reitman drops back down to his feet.
Bear pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Reitman looks for a takedown but Bear sprawls well. Bear fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Reitman, pushing him back against the cage. Reitman is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bear goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Reitman gets a trip takedown into half guard. Bear trying to control from the bottom.
Bear gets full guard. Bear manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Bear controlling his opponent. Reitman is looking to improve his position but Bear isn't that keen on the idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bear dominating with strikes here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bear takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The referee warns Reitman that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Matt Bear overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Bear get's back to his feet. Bear feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Bear trying to control the position from guard on top but Reitman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bear slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Reitman working a defensive guard here.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Bear postures up in Reitman's guard and throws a big left but Reitman blocks it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bear is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Matt Bear. Bear tries for a takedown but Reitman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Bear looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bear trying to control the pace. Bear tries to stand and escape but Reitman is controlling the position. Bear takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bear is keen to just control but Reitman is a slippery customer.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Matt Bear just wasn't active enough. Reitman fails with a takedown attempt. Bear misses with a two punch combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Bear dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Bear scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Reitman defending against the ground and pound. Reitman stops Bear from passing to mount. Bear decides to stand back up. Bear steps back and let's Reitman get back to his feet. Reitman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bear pinned against the cage. Bear gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Bear drives through and clinches with Reitman against the cage.
Bear is looking to take this one to the mat. Reitman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Bear breaks the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bear misses with a takedown and Reitman moves into the clinch. Bear pulls guard. Reitman stands up from guard. Let's bang! Reitman fails in his attempt to clinch. Bear feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Bear pushing down on Reitman's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Bear not doing much here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Reitman looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Bear puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Reitman wants to improve his position but Bear is controlling well.
Bear wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reitman keeps working. Bear tries to stand and escape but Reitman is controlling the position. Reitman keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Bear is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Reitman defends it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reitman wants to control but Bear is keeping busy and won't allow it. Reitman tries to kick Bear off but Bear keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Bear decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Bear lands with an overhand left. Bear shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Bear is looking to advance position but Reitman won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reitman trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Bear manages to pass to mount!

And that's the end of the fight! Matt Bear showed his dominance in that final round. Well Bear has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
