And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ruslan Tetradze!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Jonathan Paton and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tetradze swats away the attempt to clinch by Jackson.
Jackson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Jackson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jackson lands a glancing blow to the side of Tetradze's head.
Tetradze tries to clinch but Jackson is having none of it.
Decent striking displayed by Jackson there.
Jackson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Jackson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Tetradze closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jackson did well to prevent Tetradze getting side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Tetradze performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Tetradze is pressing down on Jackson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jackson is holding on for now.
Tetradze not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Tetradze decides to stand up.
Jackson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Tetradze's head backwards.
Jackson's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Jackson duly obliges.
Jackson works over Tetradze's head and body with a nice combination.
Nice cross by Jackson.
Jackson tries to clinch up but Tetradze circles away and keeps his distance.
Tetradze takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Tetradze shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Tetradze is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tetradze thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jackson's head.

Tetradze escapes and gets back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

A lazy left from Jackson finds it's target.
Jackson lands a jab-cross combination.
Jackson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Jackson is working the combinations to good effect here.

Tetradze wants to clinch.
Jackson lands a lovely overhand right.

Jackson stuns Tetradze with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Jackson lands with an overhand left.
Jackson lands with an overhand left.

Tetradze changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jackson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee asks Tetradze politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Tetradze prefers to stall for the moment though.

Tetradze has hold of Jackson's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Jackson seems comfortable defending it but Tetradze has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Jackson is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Jackson is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Tetradze couldn't care less - he's delighted!
