Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pat Small (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Fitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pat Small!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jon Fitch!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Eliza Hachem and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Small lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Jon Fitch has been cut.
Fitch looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Fitch tries to clinch up but Small circles away and keeps his distance.
Small drives through and clinches with Fitch against the cage.
Small breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Small gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Small scores with a shoulder strike.
A nice left hand lands by Small.
Small lands with a right to the head.
Small breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Small's jab looks to have found its range, popping Fitch under the eye.
Small drops Fitch with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Fitch looks back up at him and smiles so Small waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Fitch is rocked!
Small finds Fitch's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Fitch flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Small lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Fitch will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Pat Small!
