Carter kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Run this Town. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones connects with a looping right hand.
Jones has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Carter.
Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Carter as he avoids it easily.
Jones takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Jones shoots in for a double leg but Carter sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jones lands a body shot.
Jones fails with a takedown attempt.
Shawn Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Jones.
Carter lands with a thumping leg kick.
Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Carter.
Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
Carter with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Carter connects with an inside leg kick.

Jones lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Jones takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

It looks like Paul Jones has been cut.
Shawn Carter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Carter cracks Jones with a right hand to the side of the head.
Carter throws a head kick but Jones moves out of range.
Jones needs to keep his hands up - Carter had a free shot at his head there.

Jones is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Carter shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Jones takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Carter sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Jones bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

A relieved looking Shawn Carter thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
