Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steven Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dalton Widding (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven Davis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dalton Widding! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Widding counters with a shoot takedown. Davis fights it but they end up in guard. Widding trying to control but Davis is working from the bottom. Widding postures up.
Widding pushes down on Davis's leg and manages to get into half guard. Widding tries to pass to full mount but Davis defends it. Davis is not content to let Widding control the position. Davis wants to control but Widding is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Widding trying to control the action but Davis is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Widding misses with a body kick. Widding closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Davis's guard. Davis is looking to stand up but Widding isn't so interested in that idea. Davis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Widding trying to control but Davis is working from the bottom. Davis trying to keep a closed guard but Widding is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Widding slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Dalton Widding hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Davis fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Davis wants to clinch up but Widding keeps it at a distance. Davis throws a leg kick that misses. Widding shoots in but no luck this time. Widding shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Davis but Davis pushes him off and we're back to square one. Widding throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Davis's waist but Davis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Widding off to one side. Steven Davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dalton Widding. Davis fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Widding decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Davis wants to get back to full guard. Widding is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Davis sees it coming and defends easily. Widding trying to control the action but Davis is working from the bottom. Widding slows the pace down in half guard. Davis wants to stand back up but Widding manages to pass into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Davis takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Davis trying to control but Widding flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! I really don't envy Davis right now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Davis trying to control the action but Widding just sinks the hooks in. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Widding tries to get the hooks in deep but Davis pushed the leg off. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dalton Widding dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Widding misses with a shot to the body and Davis counters with a lovely shot to the body. Widding throws a sloppy head kick and Davis moves out of range easily. Davis swats away the attempt to clinch by Widding. Davis shoots for a double leg takedown but Widding sprawls well. He's pushed Davis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Nice sprawl there from Davis as Widding shoots in. Davis shoots in for a double leg but Widding sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Davis. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steven Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Davis tries to clinch but Widding is having none of it. Davis displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Widding. Davis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Widding is defended easily by Davis. Davis shoots in but no luck this time. A punch combination from Widding misses. Davis misses with an attempted mid kick.
Davis shoots in for a takedown but Widding shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Davis wants to clinch and Widding counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Davis tries to pull guard but Widding holds him up against the cage and eventually Davis drops back down to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Widding stops a takedown attempt from Davis.
Widding is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Davis is defending well. Widding is trying to pull guard but Davis turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Widding pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Davis throws a sloppy head kick and Widding moves out of range easily. Davis pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Widding back to the cage. Davis follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Davis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Widding circles away. Widding drives through with a takedown into Davis's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Davis wants to sweep here but Widding controlling him for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Widding controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Davis utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Widding stopping the sweep attempt from Davis. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Steven Davis will probably get the nod. That's time! Davis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Davis stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Davis wants it to stay on the feet. A leg kick checked by Widding. Widding goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Davis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Widding tries to avoid it but Davis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Widding to the ground. Widding escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Davis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Widding counters by moving into the clinch. Davis tries to pull guard but Widding won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steven Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him. Widding fails to pull guard.

Davis jumps guard but Widding stands there with Davis around his waist. Davis gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Davis tries to circle away but Widding has him pinned against the cage. Widding is defending well against a takedown attempt. Davis working hard to break the clinch. Widding decides to pull guard. Davis got a little sloppy there for a moment and Widding has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Davis has managed to get both his arms back between Widding's legs - danger averted. Davis trying to control but Widding is working from the bottom. Davis preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davis wants to get up but he can't break Widding's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Widding keeping full guard, as Davis tries to pass. Davis trying to control but Widding is working from the bottom. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
We're going to have a standup here because Steven Davis wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Davis avoids the head kick by Widding.
Widding fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Davis avoids it really well and circles away. Davis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Nice sprawl there from Widding as Davis shoots in.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Widding throws a lazy right hand but Davis sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Widding shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Davis manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Davis working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Widding. Widding tries to free his leg and advance position but Davis is retaining full guard. Davis wants to sweep here but Widding controlling him for the moment. Davis keeping moving, preventing Widding from controlling successfully. Widding content to stall in guard here.

Dalton Widding has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Widding shoots in for a takedown but Davis shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Nice uppercut there from Davis. Davis lands with a hook. Widding tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Widding fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Davis stuffs the takedown. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Davis shoots in but Widding avoids the takedown attempt easily. Widding takes a shot to the body in his stride.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Dalton Widding. I think Widding has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
