Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aldy Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aldy Boy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matt Bear! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bear tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Boy swivels and escapes. Boy throws a shot to the body.
Good standup being displayed there by Boy as he connects with a hook. Bear has his takedown stuffed and Boy counters by moving into the clinch. Bear wants to get back to striking at distance but Boy won't allow it.
Boy is pushing Bear up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Bear tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Aldy Boy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Bear. Boy gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bear.
Bear changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Boy fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Boy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boy shoots in looking for a takedown. Bear tries to sprawl out of it but Boy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bear manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Boy misses with a wild combination.
Boy shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bear but Bear pushes him off and we're back to square one. Boy has managed to clinch.
Bear tries to pull guard but Boy forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Boy is leaning against Bear and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Bear is trying to force a seperation but Boy has the dominant position. Boy tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boy leaning his opponent against the cage. Bear's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Nice takedown defense from Bear. No joy for Boy on that attempt. Bear doesn't succeed with the takedown and Boy counters by clinching up. Boy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Bear throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Boy was covering up waiting for the punch and Bear finishes the takedown easily into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Boy preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boy controlling Bear's posture. Bear stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boy swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bear wants to control from the top but Boy keeps moving. Boy pulls Bear in close to his closed guard and prevents Bear from doing any damage or advancing position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Boy gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boy keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bear's efforts to push away. Boy is pushing Bear up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Bear looking to stall.
Boy is pressed up against the cage. Bear has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Boy down to the mat. Boy avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Boy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bear avoids it really well and circles away. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Boy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aldy Boy dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Bear throws a half hearted mid kick. Boy shoots in looking for a takedown. Bear tries to sprawl out of it but Boy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bear manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bear should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Bear looks to throw a body kick and Boy counters with a nice body shot. Bear shoots in for a double leg but Boy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Bear shoots in and gets a takedown into Boy's guard. Boy wants to stand up but Bear is controlling him. Bear wants to stand but Boy has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Bear prevents Boy from getting back to his feet. Boy is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Boy is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boy is wriggling around but Bear manages to pass to half guard.
Bear winds up and cracks Boy with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Bear is looking to advance position but Boy won't allow it. Boy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bear is working away from the top position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bear missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boy is staying active underneath Bear, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Bear scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Boy keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Bear tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Boy is not content to let Bear control the position. Bear throwing shots but Boy is blocking nicely. Bear sitting and controlling from the half guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Matt Bear. Boy looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boy seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Boy keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Bear is looking to control Boy's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bear avoid being mounted? Bear is looking for a sweep. Boy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bear wants to control but Boy is keeping busy.
Bear works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boy stops Bear from standing up. Bear is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Bear sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Boy defending well though. Boy is staying active underneath Bear, who seems content to just control the action from this position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Boy wants to control but Bear is keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Bear showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Boy clinches up with Bear and pushes him back against the cage. Boy tries to throw a body punch but Bear avoids it by throwing Boy back against the cage. Bear ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bear no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Bear wants to sweep here but Boy controlling him for the moment. Bear is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Boy landing some decent shots from guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bear working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Boy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Boy manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Boy has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Boy controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Bear keeping moving, preventing Boy from controlling successfully. Boy decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bear, up you get! Bear drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Bear takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bear is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Bear doesn't manage to clinch there - Boy circles away.
Bear tries to clinch up. Boy looks to land a combination. Bear sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Boy dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Bear has a takedown stuffed. Bear takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Boy looks to land a combination. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aldy Boy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boy fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bear, pushing him back against the cage. Bear tries to circle away but Boy has him pinned against the cage. Boy has Bear pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bear manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Boy has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bear avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Bear tries to throw a body punch but Boy avoids it by throwing Bear back against the cage. Bear slowing the pace effectively. Bear jumps guard and drags Boy to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Boy won't allow Bear to sweep him here. Bear not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Matt Bear has got the better of the ground game so far.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Matt Bear was stalling too much, according to the referee. The fight moves into the clinch position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bear pulls guard effortlessly.
