Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zoe Zhang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksa Krivosic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zoe Zhang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aleksa Krivosic!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krivosic tries to close the distance and clinch but Zhang swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Krivosic falls off balance throwing a combination
and Zhang counters with a head kick. That will keep Krivosic thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Krivosic moves into range and clinches up with Zhang.
Krivosic is working for takedown but Zhang is calmly controlling the position for now.
Zhang manages to break the clinch.
Krivosic looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Zhang is fending him off so far but Krivosic persists. Nope, Zhang circles away and we're back to standing.
Krivosic rushes Zhang and presses him up against the cage.
Krivosic jumps guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Krivosic doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Zhang trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Krivosic moves to clinch but Zhang breaks away
and Zhang counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Krivosic takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Zoe Zhang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aleksa Krivosic.
Zhang throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Krivosic looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Zhang throws a sloppy head kick and Krivosic moves out of range easily.

and Krivosic counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nice straight punches there by Zhang. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Zhang.

Zhang avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Krivosic defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Zhang.

Zhang is taking a breather. Krivosic says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Krivosic has hold of Zhang's hands but Zhang slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zhang stands up and beckons Krivosic to join him on the feet.
Krivosic tries to keep at a distance but Zhang has taken the fight into the clinch.

Zhang breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A solid body kick from Zhang.
Aleksa Krivosic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Zhang has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Zhang wants to stand but Krivosic is controlling his posture from full guard.

so Zhang counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Krivosic misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Zhang has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Zhang stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Krivosic swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Zoe Zhang has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Zhang is trying to get an arm triangle but Krivosic is defending well.

You can see the frustration on Krivosic's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Zhang decides to stand up, so the ref orders Krivosic to his feet.

and Zhang counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Zhang tries to clinch but Krivosic is having none of it.
Zhang clinches up with Krivosic and pushes him back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
