Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hai Shang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zed Zeddy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hai Shang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zed Zeddy!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Joseph Jones and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zeddy takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Zeddy takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Shang feints and then cracks Zeddy's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Zeddy down.
Shang tries for a takedown but Zeddy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Shang lands a nice looking kick to the body. Zeddy takes a step back to recover.
Shang explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Shang fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Zeddy.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Shang lands a leg kick that knocks Zeddy off balance momentarily.
Shang connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Shang lands a head kick. Zeddy smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Shang throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
A left lands for Shang.
Zeddy throws a left and a right that both miss
and Shang counters with a big head kick but Zeddy shrugs it off.
Shang works Zeddy's body with a nice hook.
Shang throws a shot to the body.
Zeddy looks winded!
Zeddy thows a body shot but no joy.

Shang shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Shang showed some decent athleticism there.
Shang throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Zeddy can do anything to dispel that myth.

Zeddy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shang. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Shang thows a huge punch but Zeddy dodges it nicely.
Shang is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Shang is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Shang lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Shang postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Zeddy looks a forlorn figure.

Shang breaks from Zeddy's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Zeddy is still in real trouble! Can Shang finish him?
Oooh a big shot lands for Shang! Zeddy is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
