Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chito Hua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cung Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cung Le will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chito Hua! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cung Le! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Damien Edna and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hua gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hua will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hua is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Le is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hua keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The fighters are battling for position here. Le manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Le escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hua gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hua wants to control from the top but Le keeps moving. Le is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Le is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Le working for a triangle but Hua defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Le keeping moving, preventing Hua from controlling successfully. Hua postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A right-left combo lands from Hua. Hua looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Le! Hua dominating with strikes here.
Le is rocked! Hua scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Le is still in real trouble! Can Hua finish him? Hua looking to finish Le with some ground and pound. This is bad for Le! Hua takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Hua has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Le is trying to escape the mount.
Le seems to have recovered his senses. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Le in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Hua stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Le pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Le throws a combination that misses and Hua counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Le's guard now. Le looks gassed! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Le is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Le is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hua slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hua stands and throws Le's legs to the side, diving into side control. Hua has knee on belly and moves into mount. Le is in a horrible position here. Hua smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Le is trying to reverse the position but instead Hua has taken his back - oops! Le is really stuck here.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Hua's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hua lands a shot to the head. Hua avoiding Le 's attempts to control his hands. Hua doesn't have the hooks in and Le manages to turn into his guard.
Le has gone for a leg lock! Hua slips out almost immediately though and dives into Le's guard. Le trying to strike off his back.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Le throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Hua wants to control from the top but Le keeps moving. Le looking for a sweep. Not yet Le, not yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chito Hua dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Hua connects with a high kick. Le lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Hua pushing down on Le's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Hua works his way into full mount! Hua tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Hua looking to control but Le is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Chito Hua overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hua is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Le is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Le swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Hua lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Le hang on? Hua stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Hua rushes Le and presses him up against the ropes. Le tries to pull guard but Hua won't allow it.

Le has control of Hua's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hua regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Le thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Hua working to try and regain half guard.

Hua is working hard here to advance position. Le lands with some strikes. Le in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Le can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hua is looking to escape. Le lands with some strikes. Le is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hua can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Hua manages to regain half guard whilst avoiding the strikes. Le thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Hua moves into full guard.
Le slips nicely into half guard. Hua trying to hold on to Le's head to control him but Le postures up.

Chito Hua dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Hua cracks Le with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes. Le loads up on a big right hand but Hua slips the punch. Hua uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Le. Le shoots in and drives through. Hua sprawls well. Hua gets a takedown into half guard. Le is not content to let Hua control the position. Hua is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Le defends it well. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hua thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's one minute gone in the round. Le tries to get to full guard but Hua has control of the leg. Le has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hua is working away from the top position though. Le wants to get back to his feet.

Le throws a lazy right hand but Hua sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Le misses with an attempted mid kick.
Chito Hua is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hua throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Le's waist but Le gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hua off to one side. Le rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hua moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Le throws a head kick but Hua moves out of range.
Le misses with the combination.
Le lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Le throws a sloppy head kick and Hua counters with a nice double leg into guard. Le is looking to stand back up but Hua counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Le. Hua is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Le is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Hua wants to control but Le is keeping him busy.

Le must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Le would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Le misses with a double jab
and Hua counters by moving into the clinch. Hua jumps guard but Le stands there with Hua around his waist. Hua gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chito Hua. That's going to take a lot out of him. Le prevents Hua from breaking the clinch. Le misses with a hook from the clinch. Hua tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Le throws a head punch that misses. Hua is looking to break free of the clinch but Le has double underhooks. Le with an attempt at a knee that misses.
A nice right hand lands inside from Le.
And that's the end of the fight! Chito Hua showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hua, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
