Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kallen Laupati (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zarrick Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Laupati with a poor takedown and Nelson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Nelson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Nelson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Laupati tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nelson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Nelson jabs at Laupati's body. Laupati darts in and clinches Nelson up against the cage. Nelson tries to break free but Laupati pushes him back against the cage. Laupati jumps guard but Nelson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Laupati tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Nelson smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kallen Laupati. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nelson drives through with a takedown into guard. Nelson advances to half guard. Nelson controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nelson is keen to just control but Laupati is a slippery customer.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Zarrick Nelson. Laupati swinging wildly here.
Nelson darts in and clinches Laupati up against the cage. Nelson is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nelson stalling in the clinch but Laupati improves position. Laupati changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Nelson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Laupati is breathing heavily. Nelson swats away the attempt to clinch by Laupati. Nelson is looking to clinch but Laupati is avoiding it.
Nelson feints and as Laupati raises his hands in defense, Nelson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Laupati is looking to sweep but instead, Nelson has passed into half guard.
Nelson slows the pace down in half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Laupati is looking for a sweep. Nelson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Nelson stalling. Nelson stands up out of the half guard. Laupati misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Laupati fails with a takedown attempt. Nice sprawl there from Laupati as Nelson shoots in. Nelson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Laupati quickly recovers to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nelson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nelson connects with a nice short shot to Laupati's temple. Ground and pound from Nelson. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nelson trying to control the pace. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zarrick Nelson dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Nelson pushes Laupati up against the cage in a clinch. Nelson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Laupati after a bit of a struggle. Nelson jumps into guard, dragging Laupati to the mat.
Nelson managing to control the position. Laupati has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Nelson uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Nelson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Laupati manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Laupati has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laupati is looking to stand up but Nelson isn't so interested in that idea. Laupati wants to improve his position but instead Nelson has moved into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nelson is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Laupati! Laupati tries to reverse the position but Nelson maintains control. Nelson controlling the pace for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nelson throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Laupati has his hands clasped together but Nelson breaks the hold and Laupati is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Nelson!
