Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikey Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quinagon Musashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown's entrance music is Can't Hold Us. A fine choice. Musashi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Busta Rhymes - Break Ya Neck. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Musashi chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Musashi fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Brown.

Brown darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Musashi keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Musashi tries to kick Brown off but Brown keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Musashi is trying to escape back to his feet but Brown uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Brown controls the position.

Musashi wants to get back to his feet.
You can see the frustration on Musashi's face as Brown controls the position.
Musashi wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Musashi tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Brown wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Musashi pushes Brown away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Brown gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Brown content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Musashi is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Mikey Brown dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Musashi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Brown blocks a head kick by Musashi.
Brown tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Musashi tries to clinch up but Brown circles away and keeps his distance.
Musashi scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
No luck for Brown with that takedown attempt.
Brown tries for a takedown but Musashi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Brown chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Musashi can pounce on him.

Brown closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Brown stops Musashi from getting back to his feet.
Musashi wants to get back to full guard but Brown has passed into side control.
Musashi is trying to buck Brown off.

Brown tries to stand but Musashi is controlling his head.
Musashi is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Brown remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Mikey Brown overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Brown wants to stand but Musashi is controlling his arm.

Musashi is trying to get back to his feet.

Brown wants to take a breather but Musashi manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Brown.

Brown perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Brown stops Musashi from getting back to his feet.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Brown in particular looking to stall.

Musashi scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Brown manages to mount him!
Musashi wants to get back to his feet.
Musashi slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Still in half guard, Brown seems content to control.
Brown prevents Musashi from standing back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Brown takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Mikey Brown is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Musashi connects with a solid leg kick.
Musashi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brown swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Brown misses with a few strikes there.
Brown shoots in for a takedown but Musashi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Musashi swings for the body but Brown moves out of range.

Brown has managed to clinch.
Musashi is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Brown is defending well for now.
Musashi tries to land knees in the clinch but Brown avoids the damage to the body.

Brown's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Quinagon Musashi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Brown scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Brown has Musashi pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Brown pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Musashi tumbling to the mat - Brown dives into Musashi's guard.

Musashi has a closed guard, preventing Brown from standing up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mikey Brown wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Brown takes the fight into the clinch.
Musashi creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Musashi looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Musashi throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Brown takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Brown ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Brown no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Musashi is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Brown wants to get back to his feet but Musashi is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Musashi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Brown. That did some damage!

Musashi closes the distance looking to clinch

and Brown counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Musashi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Brown defends it easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mikey Brown.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brown, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
