The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels tries to close the distance and clinch up but Black swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Black tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Daniels paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tyson Black seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Black fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Daniels, pushing him back against the cage.
Black throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Danielss head.
Black landing knees to the body.
Daniels is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Black breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Black shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Black was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Daniels is looking to reverse the position.

Black tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Black has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Black lands a nice forearm strike.
Black lands an elbow.
Black working the ground and pound.
Black looks up at the clock and then as Daniels takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Black smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Daniels seems a little lost for a moment, as Black dominates the positioning.
Black working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Daniels takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Daniels is rocked!
Black cracks Daniels with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Black immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Daniels is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Black!
