Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Maito Kaishi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Spartan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kaishi comes to the cage accompanied by Monkey Man. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Maito Kaishi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Spartan!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaishi dodges the punch combination from Spartan.
Kaishi rushes Spartan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kaishi changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Spartan fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Spartan takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Spartan pushes Kaishi up against the cage in a clinch.
Spartan is looking to break free of the clinch but Kaishi has double underhooks.
Kaishi tries to pull guard but Spartan holds him up against the cage and eventually Kaishi drops back down to his feet.
Spartan has had enough of the clinch but Kaishi keeps him there for the moment.
Kaishi keeps control of Spartan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Spartan managing to block the knees to the body from Kaishi.
Kaishi has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Spartan avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maito Kaishi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kaishi fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Spartan is trying to break the clinch but Kaishi has him pressed against the cage.
Kaishi jumps guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Spartan wants to stand and escape but instead Kaishi has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Kaishi drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Kaishi seems to have locked his on tight now - Spartan screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Kaishi, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Maito Kaishi!
