Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Curt Warburton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marti Pico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Warburton might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Wretch 32 ft Delilah_ Don`t Be Afraid. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

8 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marti Pico! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Warburton fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pico sprawls well initially but Warburton persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Warburton thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pico's head. Warburton with the ground and pound but Pico uses the opportunity to regain guard. Pico working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Warburton. Pico manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Pico is working for a guillotine from mount but Warburton frees his head quite easily.

Warburton drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pico avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Warburton. Warburton working the head and body with strikes. Warburton goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Pico has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Warburton but great work by Pico. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Curt Warburton. Well Warburton has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
