Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dinho Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Thornton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aaron Thornton is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Thornton has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Silva throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Silva looks to land a combination but Thornton avoids it well.
Thornton lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Thornton.
Silva could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Silva tries to clinch there but Thornton circles away.
Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Thornton sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Silva swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Thornton tries to close the distance and clinch but Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Silva lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Silva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Thornton pinned against the cage. Thornton gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Horrible takedown by Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by Thornton which made him look bad.

Silva tries to pull guard but Thornton holds him up against the cage and eventually Silva drops back down to his feet.

Thornton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Thornton shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Silva eats them both and turns towards Thornton to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Thornton misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Thornton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Thornton but Thornton pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Thornton counters with a three punch combo that has Silva backing up. Silva nods at Thornton to acknowledge the strikes.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Silva. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
