The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Steele. Virne does a little dance to reset his feet.
Virne fails in his attempt to clinch.

Steele rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Virne moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Virne doesn't manage to clinch there - Steele circles away.

Steele rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Virne moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Steele throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Steele throws a nice looking combination but Virne bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Virne closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Virne drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Steele gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Steele wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Virne has him pressed against the cage.
Steele prevents a takedown attempt there.
Virne prevents Steele from breaking the clinch.

Virne lands a knee to the body.

Steele escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Virne walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Steele checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Virne takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Steele falls off balance throwing a combination
and Virne counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

It looks like Virne might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Virne scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Virne is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Virne stops Steele from standing up.
Virne throws a strike but Steele rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Virne throws a couple of heel strikes.
Virne manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Steele is bucking up trying to escape but Virne cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
It looks like Ben Steele has been cut.
