Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rupert Pumpernickel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Logan Xavier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rupert Pumpernickel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Logan Xavier! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Franklyn Lucas and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pumpernickel throws a hook to the side of Xavier's head but Xavier sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A head kick misses from Pumpernickel. Xavier fails in his attempt to clinch. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Xavier is defended easily by Pumpernickel. Xavier closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pumpernickel circles away. Pumpernickel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Pumpernickel misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Xavier.
Xavier gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pumpernickel to score an easy takedown into full guard. Pumpernickel wants to control from the top but Xavier keeps moving. Pumpernickel pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Xavier is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pumpernickel trying to control but Xavier is working from the bottom. Xavier looking to control.
Pumpernickel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Xavier on the ground. Pumpernickel has gone for a leg lock! Xavier slips out almost immediately though and dives into Pumpernickel's guard. Pumpernickel is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Xavier seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Xavier has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pumpernickel is proving hard to escape from.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Xavier sitting in guard here, content to control. Xavier landing with the ground and pound. Pumpernickel has momentary wrist control but Xavier slips an elbow through the middle. Pumpernickel is looking for a triangle but Xavier pushes his legs off easily.
Xavier advances to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pumpernickel is trying to control but can't.
Pumpernickel is staying active underneath Xavier, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Pumpernickel has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Xavier is working away from the top position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pumpernickel is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Pumpernickel looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Pumpernickel is trying to get back to full guard. Pumpernickel wants to control the action here but instead Xavier manages to pass to full mount! Xavier looking to control but Pumpernickel is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Pumpernickel wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Can Pumpernickel hold on?! Xavier is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Xavier is punishing Pumpernickel with strikes - can he finish him?! You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Xavier is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Pumpernickel won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Xavier off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Logan Xavier!
